Jacques Lacan lived at number 5 rue de Lille, Laura Gonzalez runs her gallery there at 3. Coincidence? Every fall from now on, as part of Paris Design Week, the decorator presents her new pieces of furniture. “I am in a moment of renewal,” assures Laura Gonzalez. My style is evolving, so are my desires, and I am opening myself up to a multitude of possibilities. A lot of this comes from exchanges with those close to me, discussions with my collaborators, meetings with artisans. This collection called Conversations, Réflexions, Divagations reflects this creative interactivity. To illustrate this, I revisited the decor of my gallery in the style of a psychoanalyst's office – a space conducive to emancipatory monologues – which extends into a dining room – a place for endless discussions between friends. Two places where we pour our hearts out combined into one!
